ATLIS President and CEO Christina Lewellen Named ASAE Fellow, Recognizing Leadership and Association
April 9, 2025 – The Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS), the premier professional organization for technology leaders in K-12 independent schools, proudly announces that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Christina Lewellen, has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). This prestigious honor recognizes Lewellen’s outstanding contributions to the association management profession and her exceptional leadership.
The ASAE Fellows program honors association professionals who have demonstrated significant leadership and have made outstanding contributions to the association community. According to ASAE, the distinction of Fellow is conferred upon less than one percent of ASAE’s membership. Lewellen joins an esteemed group of visionary leaders recognized for their commitment to advancing the association industry.
“We are incredibly proud of Christina for this well-deserved recognition,” said Dr. Aggie Malter, ATLIS Board Chair and PAISBOA President and CEO. “Her visionary leadership has been instrumental in the growth and evolution of ATLIS. This honor celebrates Christina’s individual achievements and reflects the significant impact ATLIS is making in the independent school technology landscape under her guidance.”
Lewellen's tenure as President and CEO of ATLIS has been marked by a period of significant growth and innovation. Under her leadership, ATLIS has:
- Expanded its membership to include a broader range of technology leaders and professionals in independent schools.
- Launched innovative programs and resources focused on emerging technologies, leadership development, and best practices in educational technology, including the Technology Leader in Independent Schools (TLIS) certification program.
- Strengthened its position as a leading voice in the independent school community on issues related to school technology strategy.
- Cultivated a vibrant and engaged community of technology leaders through conferences, online forums, and networking opportunities.
“I am deeply honored to be named an ASAE Fellow,” said Lewellen. “This recognition is a reflection of my career in association management, but, perhaps more importantly, is a testament to the collaborative spirit and dedication of the entire ATLIS community – our board, our staff, our members, and our partners. The accomplishments and innovation for which I’m being recognized are fueled by our collective commitment to empowering technology leaders and advancing technology in independent schools. This honor underscores the importance of the work we do together.”
