ATLIS Announces Kristin Dietz as new President and CEO

The Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristin Dietz, MSML, CAE as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026. Dietz succeeds the current leadership following an extensive national search conducted by Cynthia Mills of The Leaders’ Haven and the ATLIS Board of Directors search committee.
Bringing more than a quarter-century of association management expertise to ATLIS, Dietz most recently held the position of Vice President for Membership, Standards, and Certifications at the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). Recognized as an authentic and purpose-driven leader, she previously served in significant global capacities at the Project Management Institute (PMI), where she successfully managed a $12M digital and print product portfolio. Her background is characterized by a distinguished record of expanding professional certifications and securing sustainable revenue growth. During her tenure at NCMA, she directed the enterprise strategy for the Contract Management Standard™ while maintaining rigorous certification integrity. Additionally, her executive career includes serving as the Executive Director for JDRF’s Delaware chapter. Kristin remains a dedicated volunteer and leader within the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
“We are delighted to have Kristin lead the ATLIS team,” said Dr. Aggie Malter, ATLIS Board Chair. “As a ‘scaling CEO,’ she has demonstrated a remarkable ability to expand and nurture member networks. Her high emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership approach are an ideal match for our objective of empowering technology professionals in independent schools.” Having experienced independent education firsthand as both a student and a parent—with relatives attending schools throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland—Kristin is deeply dedicated to advocating for the independent school sector.
Dietz is recognized for her strategic vision and her ability to build strong, relational partnerships between staff, boards, and volunteer communities, with a deep commitment to the continuing development of staff. At PMI, she was instrumental in transitioning standard-setting processes to digital-first environments and significantly growing revenue streams.
“I am honored and excited to lead ATLIS into its next chapter of growth,” said Dietz. “I admire the association’s dedication to professional development and its vibrant community of technology leaders. I look forward to working closely with the board and staff to implement our strategic goals and deliver unparalleled value to our members.”
