ATLIS Announces CEO Leadership Change
After nearly seven years of service, Christina Lewellen, MBA, FASAE, CAE, will depart later this year from her role as President and CEO of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS). Lewellen has accepted an opportunity to step into a more expansive leadership role, reflecting both her professional growth and the impact of her tenure at ATLIS.
Lewellen will remain in her role through ATLIS’s Annual Conference, working closely with the board and staff to ensure a steady and intentional transition of leadership responsibilities.
“Christina leaves ATLIS in a position of strength, with a clear mission, a highly engaged community, and a strong foundation for continued impact,” said Dr. Aggie Malter, chair of the ATLIS Board of Directors. “Her leadership has shaped the organization in lasting ways, and this moment reflects both the depth of her contribution and the confidence we have in ATLIS’s future.”
During her tenure, Lewellen helped guide ATLIS through a period of growth and increased influence, deepening its role as a trusted community for technology leaders in independent schools.
“ATLIS has been an extraordinary place to serve, and it’s been my deepest privilege to have a front-row seat to the advancement and maturation of this organization since 2019,” said Lewellen. “This community is thoughtful, generous, and deeply committed to supporting technology leaders as they navigate the ever-evolving landscape in schools. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve built together and confident in the organization’s continued momentum.”
The ATLIS Board of Directors will share additional information in the coming months regarding interim leadership and the search for ATLIS’s next CEO.
“As ATLIS enters this next phase, we do so with deep appreciation for Christina’s leadership,” said Malter. “Her work has positioned the organization well, and we are focused on ensuring a steady transition that continues to serve our members and mission.”
