Turn AI questions into clear decisions.

Which AI tools should your school approve? What should staff and students be allowed to do? Who evaluates the risks, and who makes the final call?

The AI Governance Academy helps your team work through these questions together. Across the academic year, you’ll develop the policies, processes and shared understanding needed to support responsible AI use in your school.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or building on existing work, each stage helps you move forward.

Build the foundations your school needs.

Throughout the AI Governance Academy, your team will work toward:

  • Clear ownership: Establish who oversees AI and how decisions are made.

  • Shared direction: Develop an AI strategy and policy framework that reflect your school’s mission.

  • Practical expectations: Define appropriate AI use for staff and students.

  • Greater visibility: Record the AI tools and uses across your school.

  • Consistent decisions: Create a process for assessing and approving proposed AI use.

  • A plan for what comes next: Develop a 12-month AI governance roadmap with priorities, responsibilities and actions.

Bring the people who shape AI decisions.

AI decisions affect teaching, student safety, technology and personal data. The AI Governance Academy brings those perspectives together through 9ine’s Diamond Formation, a governance model connecting four areas under clear leadership accountability:

Academics
Evaluate educational value and establish expectations for teaching and learning.

Technology
Consider systems, access, cybersecurity and implementation.

Student Safety and Safeguarding
Address student well-being, online safety and potential harms.

Privacy
Evaluate personal data use, vendor practices and privacy risks.

School leadership provides direction and accountability throughout the process. One subscription allows you to involve the colleagues your school needs at each stage.

Learn together. Put it to work at your school.

The Academy combines expert guidance, practical activities and peer discussion with implementation between sessions.

You’ll apply each stage to your school’s actual priorities, building on your work as the program progresses. Templates, technology and dedicated consulting support help your team keep moving.
