Privacy Academy, from 9ine

A school-year program of live sessions and hands-on workshops for the people responsible for privacy and data protection at their school. ATLIS members save 25%.

What It Is

The 9ine Privacy Academy combines expert-led sessions with practical workshops built on realistic school scenarios. It opens with a governance induction. Each school then has a one-on-one session with a 9ine consultant to build its own Privacy Roadmap. Ten sessions follow, covering seven core areas:

• Records of processing activities (RoPAs)
• Records retention
• Information rights requests*
• Incident and breach management*
• Vendor management*
• Data protection and privacy impact assessments (DPIAs and PIAs)
• Visual data ethics and image governance

*These topics include an optional foundation session before the workshop.

Who Should Attend

Anyone responsible for, or playing a significant role in, privacy and data protection at their school. That person often isn’t a dedicated privacy professional. Privacy may be part of a technology, operations, governance, or compliance role. Participants with existing knowledge can skip the foundation sessions.

What’s Included for Each School

• A pre-Academy questionnaire, the induction, and a 60-minute Privacy Roadmap session
• All 10 sessions, with recordings
• Templates, checklists, sample policies, and guidance
• Access to the 9ine Privacy and Governance Platform during the program and for three months after
• Up to three completed vendor assessments from the 9ine Vendor Library
• A named 9ine consultant and two hours of consultancy
• A certificate of completion

All sessions are on Tuesdays. Dates are subject to change.

Fee

For one registration fee, schools can include an unlimited number of participants.
