Welcome to the ATLIS Aspire Awards—your opportunity to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals and teams in the independent school technology community. These awards spotlight the visionaries, innovators, and leaders who have transformed learning experiences, championed impactful initiatives, and overcome challenges through the creative and strategic use of technology in independent schools. You can nominate yourself, a colleague, your team, or students who embody the spirit of innovation, resilience, and growth. Winners will be recognized on stage at the ATLIS 2025 Annual Conference.

This award pays tribute to IT leaders who have successfully driven a single standout technology initiative. Whether they introduced a new system, streamlined existing tools, or launched a transformative project, honorees have improved their school’s efficiency, learning experiences, or communication.

Eligibility

  • Individuals: Independent school employees leading impactful IT projects that benefit the entire school community.

Honoring disruptors—students, educators, or teams—who inspire change through imaginative technology use.

This award celebrates those who break the mold, pushing technology’s role in education to new heights. Whether through a creative redesign, a student-driven project, or a collaborative initiative, winners are catalysts who spark positive change and show what’s possible through innovation.

  • Teams (up to five members)
  • Students and their teacher/advisor

Recognizing leaders and teams driving instructional innovation with technology.

This award honors an individual or team that leverages educational technology to enhance teaching and learning. By implementing innovative, learner-focused strategies, recipients elevate the classroom experience and serve as models of instructional excellence.

  • Individuals supporting effective tech integration for teaching and learning
  • Collaborative teams (up to five members) who worked together to boost instructional innovation

Celebrating those who do great things with fewer resources

This award honors those who achieve meaningful success under challenging conditions—be it limited resources, tough circumstances, or the unique constraints of smaller schools or departments. Winners show what’s possible through perseverance, adaptability, and creativity.

  • Individuals across any role in an independent school
  • Small teams (up to five members) who collaborated to overcome obstacles

This award celebrates technology leaders who’ve made a transformative impact early in their tenure—whether they’re new to independent schools or stepping into a leadership role for the first time. They stand out through innovation, collaboration, DEI commitment, and the ability to effect positive change right from the start.

  • New technology leaders in their first five years at an independent school
  • Professionals from outside independent schools who adapted successfully within their first five years in a leadership role
