Financial aid leads to difficult conversations with families. From working with families struggling to make ends and afford your tuition to getting pressured to provide more aid to a family than what they are showing they need, delicately handling these discussions is both important and stressful for all involved.  Join us as we interview a panel of your peers on their experiences to gain insight, tips, and encouragement as we launch into an especially difficult year for those working with financial aid.

Renee NagdemanRenee Nagdeman is in her 17th school year as Business Manager of Bishop Noll Institute, a diverse Catholic high school, in Northwest Indiana.  She develops and maintains the school’s budget along with the school board’s finance committee while also working closely with the Admissions Coordinator and tuition office.  One of Renee’s larger work efforts has been to grow the school’s financial aid program from a small base pool of around $10,000 to a six-figure funding source used to help families afford private education for their children.  Additionally, she serves on the Diocesan committee that awards aid to all the schools within the Diocese of Gary.  Early in her career, Renee was a property manager but has found working for a nonprofit to be more fulfilling.  A Purdue alum with a major in both accounting and human resources, she married her college sweetheart, Craig, and just celebrated their 25th anniversary.  She looks forward to her daughter’s graduation from Purdue in education and enjoys cheering on her son at poolside.
