This workshop is designed and led by experienced independent school technology leaders who understand the balance technology leaders must maintain between providing access to valuable resources and protecting school constituents. Each aspect of the workshop will be taught with a specific lens on the independent school technology environment. Attendees will depart the workshop prepared to lead an independent school through the security review process and undertake the steps necessary to ensure improved security for all areas (development, admissions, business, and academic functions), as well as the security of individual community constituents. His recent work in cybersecurity includes articles and presentations for the National Business Officers Association (NBOA) (2015), MISBO (2015), the Virginia Business Officer’s Institute (2016), and for ATLIS (2016.) Jamie recently contributed to the Fall 2018 edition of Independent School magazine with his article, "What Independent Schools Need to Know about Cybersecurity," a follow-up to his "Greetings from Kazakhstan" about "an eye-opening journey into the realm of cybersecurity" written for NBOA's Net Assets.
