Each course allows the participant to access valuable resources; complete meaningful, authentic tasks; and build a useful, shareable portfolio of documents and reflections. Plugging in to Independent Schools (For IT Professionals) Watch our webinar preview below! Jeanie shares her process for undertaking the monumental task of moving to a new Student Information System (SIS). Providing a wealth of information, Jeanie outlines how to set the right tone for the project, establish the need for a change, detail the scope and scale of the project, define the real pain points of the undertaking, manage the legwork required to begin, and consider a number of critical factors when making a decision. Implementing Multi-Factor Authentication Bobby Bardenhagen, Director of Technology for the Orinda Union School District (CA) This course is designed for any school leader who wishes to take important "level-one" cybersecurity measures at his or her school. Multi-factor -- also called two-step -- authentication for web access can be an easy first action step undertaken to achieve a safer online environment, but its effective implementation requires an understanding of the staff and personnel involved. Mapping Your Data Flow This micro-course provides guidelines, suggestions, and tips to craft dynamic documentation of the data flow within your organization. Participants will create their own data maps modeled on designs and templates provided by the instructor, Ally Wenzel, based on her extensive experience with data systems.
