We understand that not everyone is comfortable with travel, and some schools may have restrictions on travel for the remainder of the school year. But for those who are able and willing to gather in person, ATLIS is deploying extreme precautions to keep you safe in Seattle. 

The safety parameters for the in-person retreat have evolved due to our new dates in July (vs. our original dates in late April). Some local mandates for masking and social distancing have changed since April, and there's no guarantee that they won't change again before the event. Still, there are a few things to keep in mind if you’re planning to attend:

• We will follow local guideline regarding masking and social distancing protocol.
• Hand sanitizing stations will be ample.
• Each attendee will be provided an assigned table in the session room as his/her/their own and this table will not change throughout the workshop.
• The retreat includes two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners. We will arrange seating according to local and hotel protocol. 
• Any attendee who does not comply with the health and safety measures will be asked to leave the retreat. 
• ATLIS has designed a response plan in conjunction with the venue in the event that someone falls ill while onsite.
• Local attendees are not required to stay onsite, but please note that staying at the hotel helps ATLIS meet its contractual obligations and allows you maximum networking opportunities!

You can register with confidence, knowing that the virtual Annual Conference will take place as planned and the in-person retreat is 100% refundable if we are unable to gather in person. The hotel will allow you to cancel your room without penalty up to 48 hours before your reservation (if canceled within 48 hours, the fee will be equal to one night’s stay), and many airlines continue to offer flexible booking options.
