More information and registration is available at the MISBO website.

Date: Thursday, January 25, 2018

Time: 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM ET; lunch provided

Location:  KI Georgia, 3535 Piedmont Rd NE #110, Atlanta, GA 30305

Description: Designing for authentic change can be challenging. We face constraints, and lots of them. From lack of funding to fixed physical structures, the challenges can be overwhelming. In this workshop, we sprint, using design thinking, through an experiential immersion in how to design for change. Attendees will participate in activities that encourage creative confidence and learn to synthesize and make sense of human-centered ideas. They will work in teams and establish design drivers that will inform how a physical space is designed, ultimately getting the chance to design a prototypical learning space using 3D modeling. Following lunch, Susan Davis of ATLIS will share three case studies from schools at various stages of designing for change. Attendees will review and discuss these case studies in groups, reflecting on how best to implement designs and who to include in the collaboration process.
