This institute is a year-long blended learning experience designed to prepare individuals to direct an independent school technology program.

During this one-year blended learning institute, participants will:

  • Build technology leadership skills via an intentional and differentiated curriculum.
  • Learn the role technology plays in the multiple aspects of leading an independent school.
  • Be taught and mentored by current independent school technology directors and former technology directors now in other leadership roles in independent schools.
  • Build a network of colleagues.
  • Meet face to face three times.
  • Complete monthly assignments via distance learning with the support of a mentor.

In order to apply, applicants must

  • Currently serve as a director (or equivalent) in technology/educational technology OR have worked in technology/educational technology in an independent school for 2 full years and be interested in advancing to the director level.
  • Secure the support of their head of school and current supervisor (including financial support).
  • Commit to completing all the components of the program, including attending all face to face sessions.

Logistics: Face to face session dates for 2017-18

Fee of $1900 (employees of ATLIS member schools, $2500 for others) includes:

  • Programming, course materials, and tuition
  • Registration fees at two ATLIS conferences (2017, 2018)
  • Lodging and all meals during summer residential program at Stevenson School

Travel not included, lodging for ATLIS conferences not included.
